TREATMENT CONTRAINDICATIONS

For all manual therapy treatments I will need clearance or a referral from your primary care provider or dentist If you have or have had any of the following prior to any treatment.

Total Contraindication - Lymphatic Drainage:  I cannot treat you

Pitted edema

Deep Vein Thrombosis

Active Periodontal disease

Active infection to include tooth, sinus and ear 

Acute Cellulitis

Untreated Congestive Heart Failure

Untreated Acute Deep Venous Thrombosis

Hyperthyroidism

Hypersensitivity Of The Carotid Sinus

Arteriosclerosis

Cardiac Arrhythmia

General contraindication that warrants a medical consultation - Lymphatic Drainage:

Radiation treatment

Stroke

Lymph-node removal

Dormant Periodontal Disease

Bells Palsy

Trigeminal Neuralgia

Renal Dysfunction​

Active Cancer

General contraindication that more than likely warrant a medical consultation -  Myofunctional Therapy:

Hemi or Full glossectomy

Recent Jaw surgery

Oral cancer treatment where tissue was removed. 

Total Contraindication - Massage Therapy / Bodywork: 

Hyperesthesia

Blood Clotting

Hemophilia

Marked or Pitted Edema

Deep Vein Thrombosis

Open Wounds

Acute Inflammation

New Scar Tissue

Neuritis

Recent Injuries
