Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy
Therapy that aims to support your goals!
What Is Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy?
The face, mouth, and tongue muscles must be positioned properly to speak, eat, and breathe. Myofunctional therapy helps clients of all ages with orofacial myofunctional disorders, such as tongue thrusting, to eat, breathe, or talk more efficiently.
For people with orofacial myofunctional disorders, myofunctional treatment combines various exercise therapies to address the bite, breath, and poor facial rest posture (OMDs). The training focuses on the soft tissues of the orofacial complex (face, neck, and mouth) to achieve the ideal tongue position and posture for oral relaxation. All ages can be affected by OMDs, and treatment is tailored to your age and symptoms.
