Quality Care for a Better Quality of Life!
What is Tongue Tie?
Ankyloglossia, often known as tongue-tie, is a disorder that limits the tongue's range of motion from birth.
With tongue-tie, the bottom of the tongue's tip is bound to the floor of the mouth by an exceptionally short, thick, or tight band of tissue (lingual frenulum), which may obstruct breastfeeding. A person with a tongue tie could find it challenging to thrust out their tongue. Additionally, tongue-tie can impact a child's ability to swallow, communicate, and consume.
People with tongue ties often have trouble moving the tongue from side to side or lifting it to the upper teeth. Furthermore, they have difficulty extending the tongue past the lower front teeth.
